JPA Fitness Services
Personal training is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to JPA Fitness. Yes, you will get a great workout each session, but I will also be working hard behind the scenes to ensure you continue making progress even outside of our sessions. Below is a brief summary of what you can expect for each type of service:
Remote Training and In-Person Training
What to Expect Before Your First Session
Every client receives a custom program built around their unique health background, goals, and movement patterns. Before we begin training, we’ll go through a quick onboarding process to ensure your program is safe, effective, and tailored to you:
PAR-Q Health Screener: A quick assessment of your medical background and activity level to ensure it's safe for you to begin. (Note: A doctor's clearance may be requested depending on your responses.)
Fitness Assessment: A full evaluation of your joint mobility and movement patterns through standard static and dynamic exercises.
Custom Calendar & Homework: We’ll map out your coached sessions and assign complementary "off-day" exercises you can do on your own.
Post-Workout Recaps: After every session, you’ll receive summary notes to keep you accountable and track key details.
4-Week Progress Reviews: Every month, we review your results together and adjust your program as your strength and endurance evolve.
Nutrition Coaching
For most people, nutrition is the missing link—even if you're working out hard, poor dietary habits can hold back your results.
Nutrition coaching isn’t about strict meal plans or eliminating food groups. It’s about building a sustainable routine that fits your lifestyle while accelerating your fitness goals.
How It Works
Pre-Coaching Homework: Before our first session, you’ll complete a quick intake (including a 3-day food diary and dietary preferences) so we can spend our session finding solutions rather than digging for problems.
Flexible Format: Use dedicated nutrition sessions, or integrate nutrition check-ins directly into your personal training time.
Recommended Schedule: To maximize your physical training, I recommend scheduling at least one dedicated nutrition coaching session per month.
Stretching & Flexibility Coaching
Stretching is essential for optimizing movement, accelerating recovery, and helping you feel your best every day. Incorporating dedicated flexibility work delivers powerful benefits:
Boost Strength & Posture: Pairing targeted stretching with exercise fixes posture and maximizes your strength gains.
Expand Joint Mobility: Increase your range of motion and improve single-leg balance for safer, more confident movement.
Enhance Daily Function: Maintain effortless mobility, boost sleep quality, and improve overall quality of life.
Relieve Pain & Stiffness: Effectively reduce chronic muscle pain and manage conditions like fibromyalgia better than cardio alone.
What to Expect During Your Session
Unlike standard self-stretching, assisted sessions involve hands-on coaching. Your coach will guide you into strategic positions using specialized techniques to release deep tension in your fascial network—the connected tissue surrounding your muscles—targeting key muscle fibers across your entire body for maximum relief.

“I spent years dreading the gym, going through the motions and never seeing any progress. I am stronger and more confident after training with Jonathan at JPA Fitness. Now I can’t wait to get to the gym for a challenging session with Jonathan or a fun and intense workout on my own. ”
